FALL 2007

HDVC is working on its programs for summer and fall -- including the new "Advanced Invention to Venture," a three day workshop from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance that will run from November 28th through December 1st.  This intensive workshop brings existing teams together to focus on taking business plans from draft form to the next level.  More details to come on that -- and more.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK USA

As part of Entrepreneurship Week USA (February 24 - March 3, 2007), HDVC presented a Celebration of Entrepreneurship in New Mexico, Wednesday February 28th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the UNM South Campus Manufacturing Training and Test Center (MTTC).

The program included:

Waneta Tuttle -- Puente Partners

Chris Madrid -- Sirolli Institute

Jami Grindatto -- Intel Rio Grande Innovation Centre

Steve Willard -- PNM Center for Innovation and Technology

Additionally, event organizer Dr. Andy Salazar presented a special award, recognizing former UNM School of Engineering Dean Bill Gross for his role in promoting entrepreneurship at UNM and in New Mexico.

"Entrepreneurship Week USA - What's Your BIG Idea? Take It On!" is sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, Inc. Magazine, and The New York Times, with activities nationwide.  Can you accept the Challenge and create value from an everyday object?  Could you record a video pitch of your idea to reduce US dependence on fossil fuels?
